About CONVIVIUM

A EUROPEAN CIVIC NETWORK FOR KNOWLEDGE, DIALOGUE AND DEMOCRATIC PRACTICE

CONVIVIUM European Network is an independent civic and intellectual platform dedicated to strengthening democratic culture, public knowledge and meaningful dialogue across Europe.

We bring together people, ideas and institutions to create spaces for learning, research, reflection and civic engagement. Our work explores the institutions, principles and practices that shape European public life, while encouraging informed participation and thoughtful exchange.

OUR PURPOSE

CONVIVIUM exists to contribute to a stronger European civic space — one in which knowledge is accessible, dialogue is valued, institutions can be understood and questioned, and people are equipped to participate meaningfully in democratic life.

OUR APPROACH

Our work combines education, research, observation and dialogue. We connect evidence with ideas, historical understanding with contemporary questions, and European perspectives with local civic realities.

We value intellectual independence, openness to different perspectives, careful use of evidence and a commitment to constructive public conversation.

WHAT WE ARE BUILDING

Through initiatives such as LICEUM, the Civic Observatory, Research & Reports and Civic Conversations, CONVIVIUM is developing an evolving platform for civic learning, research and public knowledge.

The network is intended to grow through collaboration, exchange and the gradual development of resources that remain useful beyond individual projects or events.
